A New Experience in The World of Printing and Publishing – Print.Sa an On-Demand Online Printing Platform for Students

In the digitalized world, digital printing becomes essential whether you want to print direct mail, brochures, business cards, letters, or some other materials for marketing purposes. Of course, you did get your work done by paying a visit to a printer shop; however, using digital ways to do your job has proved to be more effective and advantageous for you.

For this purpose, do you ever access a printing website that offers multiple printing services? In old times, you must physically visit a printing location, convey your demands, and place your printing order. But what if we tell you you can avail of that same or some additional printing services online? Yes, Print.sa made it possible for people living in the Kingdom and Gulf countries.

Print.sa started its operations in 2017 as a project and officially launched in the market of printing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 25 February 2018 through Otbeba. It is a first-of-its-kind electronic platform begun with only two small office printers from HP, some binding tools, and an investment of 15,000 USD.

The Founder & CEO, Khaled Bamohamad, and Co-Founder and Technical Lead, Abdullah Salem, started Print.sa with the vision of building a harmonious relationship to balance the need for prints and the service provided in the market. “The printing market needs to revolve around and serve customers with great quality within low costs.” Said the founder, Khaled Bamohamad. The company is on a mission to become an excellent printing platform and lead the printing services in the Gulf countries.

Another unique quality of this printing platform is its simple printing process and reduced costs. The idea of simplifying the printing process became the starting point of the company when, back in 2018, the platform was launched that was able to print any document anytime, from anywhere.

Print.sa introduced its second printing platform in Riyadh Bookfair called “Print Bookstore” in October 2021. The Print Bookstore was especially launched for publishers, authors, and students. The distinctive platform allows students, vanity publisher, and new authors to put their work on the Print bookstore podium and make it published without any cost, then start selling the book in the market by utilizing Print-on-Demand. This stimulating idea has been extensively appreciated all around the Middle East, and hundreds of authors started using the platform by registering and uploading their manuscripts for instant selling and print-on-demand books.

The platform is working in an automated way that makes it simpler and more accessible for common people to use. Authors, publishers, and students used a simple step-by-step approach to upload and publish their books themselves. Firstly, they have to sign up on the website and then upload their book file and cover; then, the publisher has to select the printing preferences. The printing cost will change automatically with every preference; after that, the publisher will fix a selling price for their manuscript, and that’s it. The system will show the publisher royalty price per printed book automatically. After these final steps, the book configuration will be completed, and it will go for review. Lastly, after getting reviewed and approved, the book will be arranged for sale in the store.

With their passion for the printing revolution, Print.sa indeed initiated new and fresh progress in the world of printing and publishing. In addition, the company facilitates not only the cities of Saudi Arabia but also extends its services to the Gulf countries. Today, the company has more than 200 copy centers in 35 cities of Saudi Arabia and has contracted more than 100 publishers all over the region, including government issuers.
